Scotland trip – Part 5

Cairngorms Hiking Trip @Aviemore

Day 3 along a section of the Moray Coast Trail

The Moray Coast Trail is a 50-mile trail that begins just north of Inverness. It can also be cycled but I’m guessing there are some alternate paths compared to our walking path.

The path is well signed
Scottish sense of humor
Enjoying the views
Cummingston Stacks, a rock climbing feature with over 50 routes

Privately owned little beach shacks
There were plenty of short climbs along the way
Unique rock formations
Beautiful paths with so much color
A working lighthouse or lookout

What a perfect day we had. A bit windy but the weather could not have been better. Our lovely guide, Stef, dropped us off at the end of our trail so we could have a coffee or beverage of choice while she grabbed a taxi to pickup our van.

The day flew by and after walking close to 9 miles, we enjoyed the afternoon with our sandals on.
