Burgos Spain (October 14-15, 2024)

After a 6.5 hour train trip we arrived in Burgos. The primary purpose for Burgos was to allow Rick time to spend the day in the Museum of Human Evolution. I was told that he did not want to be rushed and since I had already visited the museum, my presence was optional. I have other plans for myself!

Burgos is a beautiful small city with so much history and present day care…

River walkway
Arco de Santa Maria, initially 11th century but replaced in the 14th century. One of 12 gates surrounding the city of Burgos
Burgos Cathedral
Our tiny patio deck. Before and after sips of wine🤣
Early morning before the people…
Museum of Human Evolution
Cathedral view from the museum
Pretty sidewalk
El CID, The Champion – always carrying victory, prudence, character and bravery
Painted on a building
Tiled streets
The route to the Castillo!
The back of the Castillo
The horse and the Knight (Templar perhaps)
The Cathedral dominates many views
Just another set of steps

It’s mid day here so I’ll post now with a promise of one more Burgos post tomorrow.
