Zubiri to Pamplona (June 27, 2024)

Mileage: 13.21. Elevation gain: 1,187 feet

We are finished and very excited I might add. The last 3 days have been brutal and both Tracie and I think if we were to continue, we would make the day after Pamplona a very short day. There needs to be resting involved.

Anyway, we had a gorgeous day.

Rabia Bridge, a Romanesque bridge in Zubiri
Last day…
The weeds are tall out here!
The stairs are many
The cobbled walkways are long
We enjoyed a few minutes watching the river flow
I love these tunnel trails
More long cobbled trail
Tracie and Karen
Karen and Linda
Cobbles/stones again
The trail has flattened out
I see that hill up ahead…
Approaching town
Arriving in Pamplona
Karen heads into town through the portico

Finally we have arrived and are so grateful to be here.

After a shower we wandered the city
Tracie “running from the bulls”. The bull running event is next week so the bull gates are set up
The evening drinking crowd take a seat!

What an adventure we have had. 19 days of hiking, miles of trail and feet of elevation gain have been enjoyed and cursed, depending on many factors.

Would I do it again? Of course. It’s rewarding in so many ways and that explanation is for a different day. Au revoir and adios!
