It was so nice to sleep in and not carry any backpack today. We did have laundry to do but that was nothing! Otherwise we got breakfast near our hotel, looked in most of the stores, maybe bought something very lightweight.. hiked up to the Citadel, found dinner (Italian of all things), went and called it a day.

That’s a wrap. We’ve enjoyed our time here. The alarm will ring earlier than usual tomorrow so we can get going.

I found a boulangerie that included sandwiches on their menu. I asked what time they opened and she said 6 but closed tomorrow. Of course they are!

We have some Laughing Cow cheese as well as two each pieces of baguette bread from dinner. We will slather on the cheese and have that for breakfast with an apricot, and head up the hill to Roncesvalles. After 4 miles there will be a place to stop and eat something more substantial. Until tomorrow!
