We actually had breakfast early and left the Gite just after 8. This is our earliest start to date!
We had a nice chat with David. We were all so excited to have another English speaker in the Gite. He’s on his way to Finistere, the end of the world as it was previously thought to be…We won’t see him again as he’s walking further each day than we are.

The day looks to be perfect. Mid-70’s and a fairly flat day. We will both take that!

We finally found something open to get a drink. There was an earlier stop but just chairs, so even though it was nice and we were appreciative, the drink stop was a better one.

We arrived in town before 1 pm so found a cafe for another drink. Most bars and cafe do not serve food after 12:30. I’m not sure I understand it but a cappuccino was good for me. We previously found a market and purchased fruit so we had that while waiting. We enjoyed the time we had and then found our way to the hotel.
First we went to the basement to put our packs on the shelf, along with our shoes. And then onto our room. So lovely and uniquely decorated.
Dinner is at 7. Our group tonight numbered 10, 8 French speakers and then us. Our hostess spoke English so we received occasional updates. I could understand much of some conversations. I tried using google translate for conversations but the app likes to read back when there is a pause in the speaking and it’s annoying. I turned the sound down but it kept telling me to turn it up. Oh well. I’ll figure it out!
Our meal was delicious! Creamy cold zucchini soup that tasted like asparagus to me. Tangine chicken, quinoa and salad and a fruit yogurt for dessert. It was so much food we apparently were teased in French that if we didn’t finish our dinner there would be no dessert! Ha!

Anyway time for bed and see what the weather does since it started raining around 5 pm. Forecast says it will be finished by midnight. Fingers crossed!
