Today we estimated 10-11 miles and the weather would be 10 degrees cooler, so we slept in a little.
First stop of the morning 3 miles in was Starbucks. It’s not my favorite coffee shop but Tracie and I both agree they are predictable, they always have a fairly clean restroom and you know what to expect with beverage and food. I will take that! This one was in a cool mall with plenty of outdoor space.

We actually walked past the famous Winchester House. I remember touring the house when I was in grade school. There was a lot of construction around the house today, but there it stands!

This photo shows a van, house and other artful displays for baby ear piercing service. I’d never seen anything like it before.

A historical marker that would have easily been missed had we not been walking. Lt Colonel Juan Batista and his party crossed through here in 1776 while researching the San Francisco Mission.

We walked along the Los Gatos Creek Trail for about 5 miles today. It was definitely a nice change from sidewalks!

I had to stop at Los Gatos Coffee Roasting. I’ve been here several times in the past when Brian lived nearby. It didn’t disappoint!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pizza box recycling bin ever. It must be a really popular menu item!

We enjoyed a delicious Mexican dinner at Andale Mexican Kitchen, with patio seating and heater on. The cooler weather is finally creeping in. I’m ok with that!
Tomorrow is the last big day -17 miles we think into the Santa Cruz Mountains. This should be fun!
