October 2, 2021 (my Birthday)

Our original idea was to get moving by 8, stop for breakfast and espresso and then head across the Dumbarton Bridge. It was my birthday after all!

I had been chatting with my daughter Stefanie about her coming our way, maybe walking with us some of the way or… perhaps giving us a ride. We split the difference. Tracie walked 7 of the 10 miles planned for today and Stef and I walked 3. A for effort right? My feet were so happy to have a light day.

We walked on the bridge a half mile and . decided it was too noisy and perhaps a bit dangerous so we walked next to the bridge on the pier. Lots of fisherman along the way, but I’m not sure what the catch of the day was.

We circled back to find Tracie. Snapped a selfie on the bridge before she arrived.

And at last we were all together again.

Stef drove us to The Counter. A build your own burger place. We sat on the patio and I enjoyed a beer while waiting for food. It was delicious and hit the spot for me! No photos were taken somehow…

It was a good day! And a good birthday as well😊🎂. I’m looking forward to cake one of these days. Maybe Santa Cruz!
