Today’s destination is Sausalito, a mere 8 miles via bike trails. Heavenly! But first… morning beverages. Our hotel offered a breakfast to go which we weren’t interested in but they did have an espresso machine. We found a Philz coffee which only had pour overs. Interesting but good!

Looking next for Sausalito Street, we found it and then looked up! Yikes! We have a hill to beat most hills! which goes up and up and up. This was not an easy climb and it went on forever… seriously forever.

Once on top there was a fire road for a bit, and quiet neighborhoods with beautiful homes. And then we were on the bay on bike trails again.

It was fun watching the birds play in the water. Lots of cyclists and people walking and running, but not crowded. Excellent weather, views and mileage today.

We checked in with the hotel upon arrival in Sausalito and we’re too early. We dropped our bags and headed for a beverage and snack.

Checked in about an hour later and our room was still not ready so we went window shopping the opposite direction and enjoyed the bay and views of San Francisco.

We have a table reserved for tonight at the Trident and are looking forward to a great meal! Tomorrow on to San Francisco and the Mission Delores. We are so excited.
