We are off for a 2 night adventure in the Olympic National Park’s Sol Duc Campground about 35 miles west of Port Angeles WA. I know we are going to find some gorgeous scenery and hikes!
First stop in Olympia to say hi to my brother Jim and his wife Kris. We were treated to an espresso, chicken salad and lemon pound cake. Wasn’t expecting the last two items! Thanks!
Next stop Quilcene for an early dinner at the 101 Brewery and Cafe… since I left our burgers in the freezer at home☹️. They will remain safe until we return. At the Cafe we each had a burger, mine with bacon and avocado, and Ricks with mushrooms and Swiss. Excellent choice of restaurant and food!
Gas and coffee in Port Angeles and finally made it to our campground. We drove past the resort but want to check it out… maybe I’ll talk Rick Into going tonight.
We are finally at our campsite, .05 miles past the resort. Our spot is the first in the A area so we didn’t have to look too long!

We have some nice neighbors, 4 girls from Wisconsin and Minnesota. More on the girls later!
It is chilly tonight. We’re wearing winter jackets, gloves and hats. Summer it is not! There also was some rain but it lasted just long enough to get everything wet. I’m cool with that.
Until tomorrow… hash tags for the girls…
