This morning we left Paso Robles for Joshua Tree and enjoyed lunch at a crazy little place Along the way. We ran into highway constuction that didn’t allow a southbound entrance to I-5 and decided to take back roads. Interesting!

We finally arrived at the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park and met Stef and Nathan, the kids and Nathan’s brother Alex. Nathan and Alex went off to climb and the rest of us found our hotel and checked in.

We checked hike possibilities and decided to try “the skull” and then check out the loop drive around the park.

We continued around the loop to meet up with the climbers. The rugged beauty of this park is amazing!

Time for dinner and making plans for tomorrow…
