St. George, Utah – April 2019

It was time for a few days off. Tracie and I were invited to spend time in St. George, Utah with a good friend, Viki. Promises of red rocks, slot canyon hikes and more were too tempting to pass up. Plane tickets, car rentals and one hotel night were researched and purchased. Time to go!

A visit to the Red Hills Desert Gardens in St. George

This garden is small, walkable, and free. Many of the plants were in bloom. The flowers combined with the natural red rock were breathtaking. A bonus fact – apparently dinosaur tracks over 200 million years old were found here. They did a nice job of adding tracks into the new pavement but I’m going to assume there actually were real tracks found when building the gardens.

The garden was designed to show natural plants from the area. There were so many beautiful cactus, flowers, trees, dinosaur tracks and waterfalls on display. This is definitely worth a visit.
