I have been waiting all week to check out Paris’s grand flea market. Rick and I got up early so we could arrive by 9:30 as the market opened at 9. Once off the Metro we went with the crowds heading away from the station and towards the unknown!

The usual riff raff cluttered the sidewalks selling their wares. We walked past, not quite comfortable with stopping just yet. First offerings were tables and tables of name brand items, from Levi’s to Nike to you name it. Brands from around the world. Probably knock-offs…
Rick and I both enjoyed the larger items; fountains, statues, furniture, glassware, etc more than the smaller items. So much of it was gorgeous but there is no way to get anything home in a financially conservative way.
As long as a person is willing to visit this market more than once, you would be able to figure out a better direction than just random wandering like we did. I’m glad we went and would recommend anyone visiting Paris with an extra Saturday, Sunday or Monday to do the same!
